Partizan got two
new reinforcements - Velimir Ivanovic (22), a Yugoslavian U-21
player and the best player from Radnik Bijeljina, Branimir Bajic.
Coach Tumbakovic said that Ivanovic is very useful in the fase of
attack and also in playmaking, as experts say that Bajic is the best
anchor of Bosnia. Partizan played a friendly game yesterday against
the Macedonian Cementarnica winning by 3:1 (Ivic 14, Iliev 41, 60;
Grozdanovski 84)
7/24/2000 - Partizan got

A new option - a must-use!!! News about Partizan FC through SMS
(mobile phone messaging) - follow this link!!!
7/22/2000 -
Partizan FC went to a tour in Slovenia for some training matches and these were
the players that were called: R. Ilic, Radakovic, Rasovic, Gerasimovski,
Plojovic, Stanojevic, Zoric, Cirkovic, Pekovic, Miskovic, Petrovic, S. Ilic,
Duljaj, Trobok, Jeremic, Vukic, Ivic, Vukovic, Delibasic, Ilijev and Curcija.
Djordje Tomic was left out of the list because he was sold
in "the last minute" to
Oviedo, where the famous Yugoslavian manager, Radomir Antic
is now on his position.
After the tour through Slovenia Partizan FC will play a game with the European
vice-champion,
Valencia. The game will be played on 4th August, and already
on 10th August Partizan will play the UEFA Cup game against
The Sliema Wanderers from La Valetta, Malta.
On our greatest grief, the best player of the First Federal League and Partizan
FC,
Mateja Kezman was sold to the Dutch PSV Eindhooven
for
32 million DM (about 10 million pounds, 21 million $). The
money was split into two even parts between Partizan FC and Kezman and that
makes the largest amout payed for a player from Yugoslavia. The money Partizan
FC got will be used to cover the stadium, for a new scoreboard (more like a
king size screen) and to finish the works on the training facility Partizan
Teleoptik.
The Yugoslavian Football Federation announced the fixtures for the
autumn part of the season - follow this link.
